Juninho Paulista (Middlesbrough)
Juninho was known as TLF (The Little Fella) by Boro fans and is regarded by most fans as the greatest player to have worn a Boro shirt in the modern era.
The dimunitive Brazilian (he is only 1.67m), whose silky skills first lit up the Premiership in 1995, was simply awesome in his first season in English football, combining sensational ability with an apetite for English football rarely matched by overseas players.
Flair, technique, passion and a huge heart were all evidence as he played 74 games, scoring 17 goals on his first spell at the club.
When Boro was relegated in 1997, he was sold to Atletico Madrid but was loaned back to Middlesbrough during 1999-2000 season, scoring four goals before returning to Atletico Madrid.
His third spell at Boro began in 2002 when he signed on a permanent basis before joining Celtic in 2004. Eventually, he returned to Brazil and now plays for Brazilian’s side Flamengo.

Kanchelkis… I’m not sure abt the spelling. He was one of MU’s flying winger last time. All I knew he was with Everton after that. Is he still playing soccer?

After Man Utd, Andrei Kanchelskis played for Everton, Fiorentina, Glasgow Rangers, Manchester City, Southampton, Al-Hilal, FC Saturn Moscow and FC Krylya Sovetov Samara. He retired just recently on February 12, 2007.

Peter Schmeichel has worked as a pundit for BBC since his retirement. Was a contestant on the 2006 hit series of the BBC’s Saturday Night tv programme, Stricly Come Dancing. He recently appeared on the Weakest Link in the UK. Myeplreviews will come out with an article on “The Great Dane” next week.
