Manchester United will be making a sensational summer move on another Owen, that’s right, not just Owen Hargreaves but also Michael Owen.

Sir Alex Ferguson has focused his search for a striker on the Newcastle’s 27 year old England star, who has a 12 million pound release clause in his contract.

Owen has been out with a serious knee injury since last summer’s World Cup finals but scored in a friendly game against Gretna last week.

United’s interest is certain to appeal to Owen, especially the attraction of playing in the Champions League.

  1. You gotta be kidding me? Michael Owen? He’s just like another Mr. Glass. Remember Saha?

  2. Ooohh…no… Really hope that Man Utd doesn’t continue their interest on him. Tevez is a better deal. He’s unsettle at Upton Park, got the abilities as good as Rooney and still hunger for more top flight games (assuming that Curbishley unable to save the sinking ship)…
