English Premier League Ugliest Players
They can never compete with David Beckham, or the whole Italian team, but they are among the the best players in the Premiership, in terms of skills at least. Media would mock them just because they look funny, fans would call them names and sometimes they don’t get enough coverage when they trully deserves it.
Anyway, just for the fun of it, we voted the five ugliest English Premiership players in no particular order.
1. Peter Crouch (Liverpool)
His name would always be mention first, mainly because of his unusual height and resembles a long distance Kenyan runner. Infact, he is the tallest ever Liverpool and England player, as well as the tallest player currently in the Premiership. Underwent intense media scrutiny due to a goal drought during his first months at Liverpool, he has now scored 17 goals since joining the Reds in 2005 and a remarkable 11 goals for England. Throughout his football career, fans often chanted “freak” at him, but when he created his robotic dancing goal celebration, the Guardian newspaper described him as ‘fast building reputation as a cult hero’.
2. Ivan Campo (Bolton)
We voted him as EPL most underrated player, and now he got in the list again, Ivan Campo must be a popular guy. With his big cartoon hair, and big dumb grin, he would scare off little kids without even trying. He won’t even need a mask for halloween either.
3. Marlon Harewood (West Ham)
No wonder West Ham is losing, they got a troll playing in the team. Apart from having really small ears and a weird face, Marlon Harewood is a brilliant striker…well, not this year.
4. Carlos Tevez (West Ham)
Okay, they got two trolls, but he is the clearly the most skillfull of all trolls. Has a distinctive scar from his right ear, down to his neck to his chest. Today the scars are a visible signature of Tevez, who refused an offer from Boca Juniors to have them cosmetically improved, saying that the scars is a part of who he was in the past and who he is today….(sob….sobb)
5. Wayne Rooney (Manchester United)
Nicknamed Shrek, Wayne Rooney was voted the ugliest sports star of all time beating ex-England footballer Peter Beardsley to second place and Ronaldinho and Peter Crouch to third and fourth. This poll was conducted by a research firm who polled 4,000 female sports fan, and we are quite sure it is correct.
