Now, Chelsea Might Play in Malaysia.

Filed under: Chelsea, Manchester United — Chole @ 5:18 pm

It is learnt that Chelsea will likely have a match in Kuala Lumpur on either May 23 or May 25, amid the controversy over Manchester United’s cancelled visit to Malaysia.

Reports mention that sponsors Samsung want to bring Jose Mourinho’s men to the region for two matches after the FA Cup final against newly crowned EPL champions Manchester United on May 19 at the new Wembley Stadium.

Meanwhile, the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) decision to rule out the Manchester United-Malaysia match scheduled for July because it clashed with the Asian Cup has sparked an uproar among the local fans, whose reactions ranged from unimpressed to ridiculous.

Many fans were angered and believed that a compromise can be reached. Maybe and alternative date, agreeable to both AFC and United can be agreed on, to let the match go ahead.

The Red Devils have played there in 1995, 1999 and 2001 -more than anywhere else in Asia.

  1. Yep, AFC is the most ‘insulting’ thing ever happened in M’sia. I want to want to watch MU!

  3. The Malaysian fans should decide which games they attend and they should not be dictated to by the AFC or FIFA.
