Dutch striker Robin van Persie scored a superb late goal to give Arsenal a 2-1 win over Italian champions Inter Milan and victory in the Emirates Cup tournament.

The win is more important for them, after showing doubters that there is still life without Thierry Henry.

Still, even with this win, many still believed that the current team would not be strong enough to mount a serious challenge to Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool. The fact that Arsene Wenger failed to get a big name replacement for Thierry Henry means that Arsenal team will consists of youngster and raw talents. True, they are highly motivated and eager to show the doubters wrong, but in the EPL, experience do counts.

With only van Persie as the senior striker, the Gunners will depend on Fabregas to be at his best, a huge burden for him to carry. And eventhough Arsenal still have the flair and techniques that most teams envied, they will find even the weaker teams in the EPL hard to beat, and the title may be tougher to win than ever before.
